Check out these links for more information about topics and websites discussed in my blog:
Collectorz.com Music database software for cataloging your collection. I really like this program. It is easy to use and with the mobile app I can check on the titles I already own when I’m out in the field “diving”. (This is not a paid ad, just a program I really like.)
Billboard Hot 100 An article about the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Be sure to go to the bottom of the article in External links where you can go to the individual charts for each year.
Discogs.com This is basically an on-line marketplace for buying and selling records, tapes and CD’s. However if you click on Explore in the header and then Explore All you can enter the name of a song or the artist or even the catalog number of the record in the search box to get more information. Some of the information I find most useful includes how much the title is selling for online, information on different pressings, release dates, etc. The site can be a little confusing, but once you get used to navigating it there is tons of useful information!
